Uploading documents for your deals directly to Base helps keep your team organized and up-to-date with the most recent materials for each deal. Forget about scouring your computer hard drive for the latest version, and wrestling with email to make sure everyone who needs a document gets it.

Uploading your documents
On every deal page you'll find a "Documents" section beneath your tasks. This is where you'll find and upload your documents for each individual deal.
You can drag-and-drop your files into the Documents section, or use a classic file-picker window to select your files to upload. If you need to upload several files, you can select or drag all of them at once!
Once your files have been uploaded, they'll appear listed in the Documents section of your deal page.
If you have more than 5 files uploaded to a single deal, click the expand button (...) to show the rest of your files.The expanded file browser can be sorted by both name and upload date. You can also search for specific documents by file name.
You can email documents you've uploaded to a deal, right from Base! If you haven't yet set up full sync and sort email integration, please head over to our support article to learn how you can start tracking email and sending right from Base.
To attach a file you've already uploaded to Base, simply click the 'attachments' button when you're finished composing your email. You'll be prompted to select your attachments from the full documents list for your deal; you can select as many documents as you need!
Note: The maximum file size for an individual attachment is 10MB.
To download files individually, hover your mouse over the document's file name in the documents section. A green 'download' link will appear. Click the link to download your file.
You can also download documents in bulk. Head over to your documents overview page by clicking the expand button (...) to see all files uploaded to a deal. Select multiple documents by clicking each one you want to download. When you're ready to download the files, click the cloud "download" button.
Note: You may need to allow your browser to download multiple files at once.
Your deal documents inherit the permissions that are set for each account user.
Documents may be uploaded to a deal, downloaded from a deal, or deleted from a deal, by anyone who has access to the deal!
To delete documents individually, hover your mouse over the document's file name in the documents section. A trashcan will appear to the right of the document, click it to delete the file. You'll be prompted to confirm your choice.
Documents can also be deleted in bulk. Head over to your documents overview page by clicking the expand button (...) to see all files uploaded to a deal. Select multiple documents by clicking each one you want to download. When you're ready to delete the files, click the trashcan button.
There are no limits to the size of the files you can upload to Base, as long as it falls within your subscription plan's storage allotment!
