Base can connect with your email account to help keep all of your communications visible in one place. When you turn on email integration, Base will scan your inbox and look for any communication that matches your Base Leads or Contacts. Any time you send or receive a message from a Base Lead or Contact, whether you are working in Base or your own email client, Base will attach a copy of the communication to their record.
Integrating email with your CRM helps you in keeping all relevant information about your customers in one safe place. Setting up email integration is a quick one time process. Base will remember your account information and take care of everything from there! Here is how to get your email integrated with Base:

Start by clicking on Settings and then Email on the left side.
Integrating with Gmail or Google Apps.
Integrating with Gmail or Google Apps email is quick and easy. From the email settings page, click on the "Sign in With Google" button. You will be prompted to grant permissions for "Have offline access". Click on the Accept button to proceed. That's it! The sync process will start and we will automatically bring in your past 1000 emails.
Integrating with another Email Provider
If you are using email through another web based service (iCloud, Yahoo, Hotmail, Office 365, etc..) or use email through your own domain then enter your email address and password and click the Connect button.
Once you click connect we will auto detect your email settings. If we need additional information to complete the process, you will see a box appear asking for the SMTP Server, SMTP Port, IMAP Server and IMAP Port. All of these fields are required to continue.
Traditionally, this information takes the following form:

If you're unsure of this information, check with your email service provider to confirm. It's crucial to note that your email servers must have a valid, third party SSL certificate installed. Base requires this to preserve the security of your data, and we will not be able to connect to your email server via unsecured servers or ports.
After you've entered your mail settings, click Connect Email and Base will connect to your account. You're all set!
