What is a Deal, and how do I add a Deal?

 

What is a deal?


In Base, a Deal is a sales opportunity you've identified through one of your Contacts or Leads. 

Create a deal and track it as it moves through the sales pipeline.

  1. Click on the Deals tab to navigate to the deals page.
  2. Select + New Deal and enter the deal information (Deal name, contact associated with the deal, value and source).
  3. After you have entered all of your deal information click Add.

Tip: Click the flame icon to designate a deal as hot. Hot deals will be noted on the Deals list.

 

HOW DO I ADD A CONTACT TO A DEAL?

 To add a contact to a deal:

     1. Click on the deal name to go to the details page.

     2. Click on the + icon in the Associated Contacts box and type in the name of an          existing contact or create a new contact or company. 

Once a Deal is entered you can track its status as it proceeds through your Sales Pipeline.
