To be able to upload Dropbox files to deals you'll have to own a Dropbox account. Zendesk Sell will integrate with Dropbox and allow you to upload files (.doc, .pdf, .jpg, etc.) and connect them with a deal in Sell.
What is Dropbox?
Dropbox is a Web-based file hosting service operated by Dropbox, Inc. that uses cloud storage to enable users to store and share files and folders with others across the Internet using file synchronization. Please visit Dropbox site for more information
Enabling Dropbox Integration in Sell
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > select "Enable"
You will be navigated to the Dropbox page to enter your Dropbox login information.
Enter your Dropbox email and password.
Once done, you will be navigated to the Settings page in Sell and Dropbox will be “enabled”.
To add files to your deal, click the "Create Dropbox Folder for this deal "button".
After creating the Dropbox folder, Sell will show you the path where you can save your files. Every deal for which you create a Dropbox folder will contain two elements: the deal ID and the deal name.
Note: While you can change the deal name either in Sell or on the folder itself, you must leave the deal ID intact. The deal ID is how Sell recognizes which folder to show files from. If the deal ID is altered in any way, your files won't show up in Sell.
For each deal a separate folder will be created. Sell deal folders will always be created under the folder path /apps/Sell CRM/Deals/[DealID] [Deal Name]
To be able to see a file on the deal page you have to upload it to Dropbox first. If you have Dropbox installed on your computer, you can easily deposit the files through your Finder or Explorer window. You can also upload the files via Dropbox.com.
Once your files have been uploaded to Dropbox by your method of choice, you can view and download them directly from your deal in Sell! Navigate to a Deal, scroll down to find the Dropbox section located at the bottom right of the page
IMPORTANT : Please note that you can't upload files from Sell. Currently it's only possible to upload files through Dropbox and then this file is accessible on your Sell account.
How do I disable the Dropbox Integration?
If you want to disable your Dropbox integration, you'll need to first disable the application in your Sell Integrations Settings menu.
Next, go to your Dropbox app settings. Click on “Connected Apps” and then click on the “X” to remove the integration.
A pop up box will ask you to confirm your choice to remove Sell permissions from your Dropbox account. You'll also be given the option to keep the files in the Sell folder. If you don't check the box, your files will be deleted from Dropbox.
